It's More Than Gourds: It's A Reunion | A Tradition | A Destination | An Experienc
We are delighted that COVID has abated and that North Carolina and Cherokee have opened up to visitors and to our Gathering.
The vaccination rate has soared in recent months, but we are cognizant that some Gourd Gathering attendees may not be fully vaccinated for various reasons. The increase in variants is troubling. We want to share guidance for the weekend.
If you are fully vaccinated, you may choose to wear a mask or not. If you are not fully vaccinated, we request that you wear a mask. Please maintain a safe social distance.
We have added extra tables and chairs to class areas, to the Make and Take area, and to the Creation Station area so that there is adequate spacing for students. Hand sanitizer will be available, as will materials to sanitize tables.
We have not added vendors to allow more space inside the building for social distancing. The air conditioning will be on. There are times in the past that the vendor area has been crowded (particularly Friday and Saturday, and at lunchtimes). You may want to wear a mask or shop at another time if the vendor area is busy.
Food servers will be gloved and masked.
We are all so happy to see our Cherokee friends, but PLEASE maintain social distancing.
If you have questions, please direct them to firstname.lastname@example.org..
