Cuban Pete: The Polymita Picta snail

How to Make a Mold & then fill it


In this class we will learn how to take an ordinary household product and make a mold to keep using one of your favorite pieces of jewelry or lizzard or some object you like to use other gourds. Then we will learn how to fill that molded object and place it on a curved gourd.

Happy Jacks

Sue Weise


Happy Jacks – This is an easy and fun class that any level gourder can master! We will learn how to place, draw and then cut out your Happy Jack face and leaf embellishments. You will create your Jack, add color then add color to the leaves used for the embellishments. We'll use raffia and coated wire to attach and we'll be using polyurethane spray to seal everything. Instructor will provide cleaned gourds for this class.

You will make 3 pieces of Indian Corn out of space dyed basket reed. The top will be finished with raffia. We will focus on shaping the corn stalks. A fun class learn an introduction to basket weaving

Students will use beginner acrylic painting techniques to create a cute, friendly snowman using simple shapes, bright colors, and creative details inspired by the winter season.

No water required!  Learn to weave 2 mini melon baskets using Japanese paper strand.  I will teach you how to make the hoops, insert the “ribs” and then weave the basket.  Many color of paper strand to choose from.  These little mini baskets are perfect for hanging on your wool tree!

Ball Chain Basket Base


Step 1: Create an unique "ball and chain" on a 8" wooden basket base. Seal with Modge Podge. The instructor will level the basket base with resin.
