First, a belated congratulations to the winners in our 2024 gourd exchange. Last year the top ten entries with number of votes received $10.00. They were (in no order):

This year we will announce the winners during lunch on Saturday. There will also be a “Down on the Farm” parade with 4 prizes for the "best participation"

Competition Fundraiser for Waynesville

Again, belated congratulations to the 2024 winners of the “Hang It, Dang It” fundraiser.
Winners of the three categories were.

Theme:

The theme for 2025 will be Flawed or Cracked Gourds.

  • You must have a printed photograph of original cracked or flawed gourd to submit with your entry piece.
  • Three levels for competition: Advanced, Intermediate and Novice
  • Novice is for newbies and making gourd art for up to a year
  • Intermediate is for those that have entered competitions and have been making gourd art more than a year.
  • Advanced is for those that sell, teach, and have won in gourd competition.

Three categories are available for entry.

  1. Intact Flawed or Cracked Gourd
  2. Cut up from Flawed or Cracked Gourd and try to use all the pieces!
  3. Multiple Flawed or Cracked Gourds to be made into one piece of art.

Ribbons and Gourd Bucks awarded for winners.

*Entries for both competitions are due by NOON on Friday.
